Tour of Jerusalem: Jewish,Christian and Moslem Quarters of Old City:
From Mount of Olives to Mount Zion, from the Armeniam Quarter through the Jewish Quater, into the Moslem Quarter and ending up in the Christian Quarter at the Holy Sepulcher.
Begin with a brief visit at the observation point on Mount of Olives for spectacular view of Jerusalem’s OldCity, the TempleMount, and Dome of the Rock. Continue onto Jaffa Gate, viewing the surrounding area and appreciating the changes that have occurred through time. Begin a walking tour on MountZion, visiting the traditional site of King David’s tomb and the Coenaculum (the Room of the Last Supper). From here we’ll walk to the Jewish Quarter of the OldCity stopping off at the Roman Byzantine Cardo. We’ll tour the HerodianMansion to have an understanding of what luxery homes for the Temple priests looked like. After lunch, we’ll descend to the Western Wall (the Kotel), holy site for Jews, as it is located at the base of the TempleMount. We will take the tour of the Western Wall Tunnels and appreciate how King Herod Rebuilt the SecondTemple. From here, we’ll enter into the Moslem Quarter and walk through the shuk as we make our way along the Via Dolorosa. We’ll enter into the Christian Quarter to visit the church of the Holy Sepulcher.
